Peer-to-peer tutoring (PTP) is a widely used tutoring method in all levels of education. One of the biggest supporters of PTP is the National Education Association (NEA), which claims that PTP tutoring leads to higher levels of academic achievement. The NEA also states that same-age peer tutors are as equally effective as older tutors.

PTP tutoring has been shown to be the most fun and effective form of learning, and all sessions with Bethesda Scholars are PTP. Our team is entirely made up of high school students, so our tutors can provide specific advice and methods tailored for the MCPS curriculum.
