About
Summer is a time for fun, a break from the demanding academic year. However, the lengthy three month break can often leave students feeling lost at the start of the fall. Our classes address this issue - each year students remark how they found our classes helpful preparation for the fall and also FUN (see our reviews below)!
Taking a class will briefly refresh your students’ memories of previous content and introduce them to the main topics of their upcoming math class. Through a small classroom environment taught by an older student, students are able to work together in a comfortable, engaging, and collaborative manner. Our teachers are patient, understanding, and provide personalized attention for each student.

“Chloe took an Algebra I review with Bethesda Scholars and loved it. She learned, had fun and most of all enjoyed ‘math’ in the summer months. Who would have guessed? The kids that teach are kind, smart and fun.”
““Our 8th grade daughter took a week-long Algebra prep course Bethesda Scholars offered this summer at Pyle MS. She went into it kicking and screaming, but by day two, she loved it and loved the peer tutor.””
““She now has a much better understanding of the key principles of algebra and feels well prepared for Algebra II this year at Walt Whitman. Cody was very approachable and made everyone feel comfortable””
