Intro to Algebra I
Teacher: Sadie Eisenberg - a Whitman graduate and rising Junior at Cornell University. This is Sadie’s second year teach a summer class and fourth year of tutoring with Bethesda Scholars. She hopes to go to medical school and in her free time she loves to dance, bake, practice yoga, and run.

Review of Pre-Algebra: solving equations, simplifying expressions, order of operations, manipulating fractions

Review of lines: slope, y-intercept form, parallel and perpendicular lines, modeling word problems with linear equations, graphing lines
Systems of equations: intro to basic systems of equations and how to solve using graphing and substitution
Day 3
Day 4
Functions: introduction to functions, vertical line test, domain, range, function notation, evaluating functions from graphs
Exponents: laws of exponents, manipulating exponents, simplifying exponential expressions
Review: brief review of everything taught
