Intro to pre-calculus
Teacher: Cody Paul - a 2023 Walt Whitman High School graduate and current rising junior at Cornell University. I’m pursuing a double major in Biology and Spanish and plan to attend medical school. In my free time, I enjoy watching baseball, playing chess, and spending time with my friends. This will be my third summer teaching this course, and I look forward to helping your child succeed in pre-calculus!

Algebra II review: logarithmic functions, evaluating trigonometric equations, graphing trigonometric functions, laws of exponents, unit circle

Factoring review: factoring trinomials, difference of two squares, factor by grouping, solving through factoring,
Logarithmic equations and expressions: rules of logarithm, solving Logarithmic equations and simplifying expressions, change of base formula
Day 3

Trigonometry: unit circle, inverse trig functions, solving trigonometric equations, understanding secant, cosecant, cotangent in context of word problems
Vectors: vectors, operations on vectors, dot products, magnitude, direction, velocity, understanding vectors graphically and algebraically
Review: brief review of everything taught
